Kistefos is a unique cultural destination located in beautiful surroundings in Jevnaker. Here, art is experienced in close interaction with nature, and the historical heritage goes hand in hand with contemporary art and hypermodern architecture. Kistefos is built on the former factory area of "Kistefos Træsliperi AS" and today consists of an impressive sculpture park with as many as 50 sculptures, two art galleries with changing exhibitions of high international class, and an industrial museum. The signature building The Twist is a bridge, a sculpture and a gallery in itself, and has won a number of awards and nominations for its spectacular design.

The trip can easily be combined with a visit to Hadeland Glassverk, which by car, is only 10 minutes north of Kistefos. Also feel free to plan a visit to Granavollen as part of this trip. At Granavollen you will find the 2 medieval Sister Churches, 'Glasslåven' with its changing art exhibitions, historical Granavolden guesthouse and 'Telthuset', which conveys Hadeland's history. The Hadeland Folk Museum is also just around the corner.
